Where the footprint was

Tamsin melts 180 tonnes of glass a day in two gas furnaces. Gas was 78% of its direct emissions, and the energy team kept its own spreadsheets apart from finance.

What changed

Furnace meters feed Loamra every half hour. The data made the case for an electric boost on furnace two, and for raising recycled cullet from 38% to 55% of the batch.

Where it is heading

Scope 1 and 2 fell from 12,900 to 8,510 tonnes. A hybrid furnace rebuild in 2028 is modelled in the plan against the 2030 target.
